AVNMEDIA.ID -  Canva today announced the Canva app in ChatGPT, which helps you generate and edit designs within your conversations.

Announced at OpenAI’s DevDay, Canva’s app for ChatGPT redefines the path from vision to visuals, enabling users to generate new designs in context, translate text, make edits to their designs, and coming soon, autofill brand templates with fresh data.

The app is enabled by the Canva AI Connector, which brings Canva tools into AI workflows so creation can flow seamlessly and securely right inside the chat. 

Canva is also one of the first platforms building on ChatKit, a new tool by OpenAI that makes it easier to build chat UI with embeddable components.

Canva is now empowering its Canva Developers community to interact with developer docs via chat for a more intuitive experience while building apps on Canva. 

What’s new

As AI agents become a primary place where work gets done, Canva is building the visual layer, bringing design tools and context right into the chat.

By embedding Canva inside ChatGPT, everyday conversations become opportunities to visually create, brainstorm, design, and edit with simple natural language prompts. '

Inside ChatGPT, the app enables visual, fluid Canva workflows including:

• Generate any design type, from social posts to presentations, incorporating context from your chat
• Import PDFs or files directly from a link, no upload needed
• Edit text in designs, including individual text elements and in bulk
• Translate text in designs into other languages to connect with audiences around the world
• Browse, search and summarize existing Canva designs and assets in ChatGPT
• Autofill brand templates with labelled, formatted data from AI-generated insights (coming soon)

Accessing Canva in ChatGPT is seamless.

Users can mention Canva in a prompt like “Canva, help me build this presentation.”

ChatGPT can also suggest Canva when it’s relevant - for example, if you’re talking about creating a pitch deck, ChatGPT can suggest Canva to take you from idea to action in just a few moments.

This launch builds on the existing momentum of the Canva GPT, launched in 2023, and Deep Research Connector, launched in June 2025.

Today’s update accelerates creativity while meeting users where they are, with a new way to design that’s fast, intuitive and secure. 

Starting today, the Canva app is available in English to all logged-in ChatGPT users outside of the EU on Free, Plus, and Pro plans, making Canva one of the first design platforms to bring full design creation into the world’s most popular AI assistant. (jas)
